Lise Davidsen, soprano
Leif Ove Andsnes, piano
Currently the most acclaimed and sought-after Wagner soprano in the world, Lise Davidsen, will appear with pianist Leif Ove Andsnes at Turku Concert Hall. The two prominent Norwegian performing artists will be performing a programme built around Edvard Grieg’s song cycle Haugtussa.
The New York Times has described Lise Davidsen as “one voice in a million”, and Opera Now magazine has declared that Wagner singers like her only come along once in a generation. Leif Ove Andsnes is one of Norway’s internationally most celebrated pianists and described by the Wall Street Journal as one of the most gifted musicians of his generation. Their joint recital is bound to be one of the highlights in Finland’s musical calendar in 2022.
The concert will be broadcast live on Yle Radio 1 and will be available online on Yle Areena for 30 days.
