Lorenzo Passerini
Born in Morbegno in 1991, LORENZO PASSERINI graduated in trombone at Aosta Conservatory in 2014 with full honours. He began his conducting career in 2011, on the lead of Orchestra Antonio Vivaldi, that he also founded. He has conducted numerous orchestras in Italy and abroad, such as Mexico State Orchestra and Orchestra Camerata Vienna. Most recently, he conducted the New Russia State Symphony Orchestra in a concert with soprano Nadine Sierra at the Tchaikovsky Concert Hall in Moscow.
Lorenzo Passerini has also worked with classical opera; he has been working with Nicola Luisotti in some of the most important European theatres, such as Royal Opera House in London, Teatro Real in Madrid and Teatro Alla Scala in Milan. In January 2017 he assisted Oleg Caetani in his production of Shostakovich’s Lady Macbeth of the Mtsensk District at Helsinki Opera Theatre. In the upcoming 2019-2020 season he will be conducting opera productions at Warsaw National Opera and at Sydney Opera.
