John Malkovich
Born in Christopher, Illinois in the USA, actor, producer and director JOHN MALKOVICH is known for his performances in films such as In the Line of Fire, The Killing Fields, Of Mice and Men, Empire of the Sun and Burn after Reading, and particularly for playing himself in the surreal comedy Being John Malkovich. His very first feature film appearance in Places in the Heart earned him an Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actor, and in 1985 he won an Emmy for the TV adaptation of Death of a Salesman.
In the theatre, Malkovich has received the Milton Shulman Prize for the play Good Canary in London in 2016. He is also known for modelling for photos emulating the iconic portraits of Sandro Miller, for designing a fashion brand that bears his name and as the author and performer of the film 100 Years: The Movie You Will Never See, which will not be released until the year 2115. Malkovich has collaborated with Michael Sturminger and Martin Haselböck in more than 150 performances of The Infernal Comedy and The Giacomo Variations around the world. The latter was also made into a film titled Casanova Variations.
